Infrastructure Know-how from Versmold to Hövelhof

Teutoburger Wald Eisenbahn GmbH (former Teutoburger Wald-Eisenbahn-AG) was founded in 1899 and is owned one hundred percent by Captrain Deutschland GmbH. In 2003 the railway operation was outsourced to the wholly-owned subsidiary TWE Bahnbetriebs GmbH. Since then the company has been focussing on the operation of the over 100 km long rail infrastructure stretching from   Ibbenbüren – Gütersloh – Paderborn. The infrastructure specialist runs its own terminal for combined rail/road traffic at Gütersloh. Terminal Gütersloh is located close to the A 2 motorway and has three loading tracks and a modern heavy-load crane making ensuring that all common loading units are handled quickly.
