Hansebahn Bremen GmbH

Hansebahn Bremen GmbH was founded on May 1, 2010. As a joint venture of Captrain Deutschland GmbH (51%) and ArcelorMittal Bremen GmbH (49%) Hansebahn Bremen is the expression of a strategic partnership between the two companies entered to jointly organise the previous areas of rail transport (TLT) and rail maintenance (TLB) of ArcelorMittal Bremen and make use of synergies.

The 142 employees of Hansebahn Bremen now organize and carry out transports for the ArcelorMittal steel works in Bremen. On rail tracks of 110 km, it moves both raw materials for steel production and slabs, semi-finished products and coils as well as finished products. Its own specialist workshop ensures that the 14 diesel locomotives and 530 rail cars are properly maintained.
