The railroad network of DE Infrastruktur GmbH connects the port of Dortmund with the regional iron and steel industry. The infrastructure company has 50 km of public and over 100 km of non-public railway infrastructure at its disposal, mainly at the works of ThyssenKrupp Steel. In conjunction with the infrastructure of the port and the Container Terminal Dortmund (CTD) DE Infrastruktur provides a direct connection to Europe’s waterways.

Long experience in maintenance, repair and planning of railway infrastructure makes the company a competent partner in matters of infrastructure. Track and switch inspections belong to the service portfolio as do maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of switch tower and safety systems and level crossing protection systems.
